About Williamson
We are a small, dedicated team working across the UK, building care and support teams for individuals who have sustained catastrophic injuries. Our clients often live in rural areas and may have complex behavioural or medical needs. Our mission is to make a meaningful difference through thoughtful, person-centred staffing.
We are more than a team of recruiters. Alongside our recruitment specialists, our team includes a Registered Manager who is a nurse of 30 years’ standing, and a Consultant Occupational Therapist. That clinical depth shapes how we assess candidates, how we advise our Case Managers, and how we support the people at the centre of every case.
We are currently undergoing our CQC application to begin providing regulated complex care in people’s own homes, supporting individuals living with acquired brain injury (ABI), traumatic brain injury (TBI), birth injuries and spinal cord injuries. This is a significant step for the business, and the person we appoint will be joining us at the start of it.
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive, organised and detail-oriented Recruitment Coordinators to support the day-to-day running of our recruitment cases, and to help us grow into a new area of the business: directly employing and coordinating care staff on behalf of our clients as we move towards CQC registration.
You will not need prior recruitment experience. What matters more is that you understand, in a real and grounded way, what life after a brain injury or serious illness looks like for the person and their family — and that you can bring that understanding to how you shortlist, screen and interview candidates, how you write to people, and how you support our Case Managers.
This freelance, remote position offers flexible hours and is ideal for someone reliable who is eager to grow their skills in the health and social care sector. You will work closely with an experienced recruiter who will provide one-on-one training and mentorship. Over time, your role will expand as our caseload increases.
Key Responsibilities
You will support the full recruitment lifecycle and assist with daily operations. Training will be provided. Tasks may include:
- Reviewing and shortlisting candidate applications for complex care roles
- Supporting screening calls, interviews, candidate engagement and candidate file administration
- Scheduling interviews and managing recruitment administration
- Drafting and proofing candidate profiles, client correspondence and candidate communications
- Building and maintaining relationships with our Case Managers
- Maintaining accurate records across our recruitment trackers and compliance files
- Supporting onboarding and offboarding processes
- Responding to inbox queries and maintaining clear communication
- As the business grows, supporting the administration of staff we directly employ on behalf of clients (right to work, DBS/PVG, ongoing compliance monitoring)
What We Offer
- Flexible working hours to suit your schedule
- Working from home
- Paid training
- Hands-on training in recruitment operations
- Supportive mentorship from an experienced recruiter
- Enrolment in brain injury, safeguarding, safer recruitment and data protection training
- Access to all the cloud-based software you will need to do the role, provided by us
- Opportunities to increase responsibility over time, with clear progression routes into senior and Care Coordinator positions as the business grows
- Potential for long-term collaboration as the business grows
About You
We are especially interested in candidates with hands-on experience in any of the following, even without formal recruitment experience:
- Supporting people with ABI or stroke (paid or voluntary)
- Counselling, particularly in hospital, clinic or rehab settings
- Occupational therapy, or speech and language therapy
- Rehabilitation after brain injury or related complex care work
- Social work, social auxiliary work, or allied healthcare
- Remedial teaching or SEN-related work
- Medico-legal expert witness report writing
If your background is not listed but you have worked closely with people after brain injury or serious illness, we would still like to hear from you.
Alongside this, you will need to be:
- Highly organised, reliable and eager to learn
- Excellent in written English, with close attention to detail and tone
- Confident using email, spreadsheets and online meeting tools
- Comfortable on video calls and recording short video responses
- Fluent in spoken English, and confident speaking with candidates and Case Managers
- Able to work from a quiet, private space, as you will be handling sensitive personal information
- Available for at least 6 hours per weekday during UK working hours (9am–6pm), with some weekend availability also desirable, as this is when many of our candidates are reachable
Equipment: You will need to source your own suitable equipment: a laptop or desktop with a working camera and microphone, a reliable high-speed internet connection, and backup power if necessary. We will provide the cloud-based software and the training you need to use it.
