Agency Support helps in two situations.
When a directly employed care team has a gap, the wrong cover can undo months of progress, so we provide experienced workers who understand acquired brain injury, traumatic brain injury and spinal injury packages and step in as continuity rather than disruption. And when a client or family wants support but would rather not employ someone directly, we provide a personal assistant or buddy and carry the employment ourselves.

Cover for directly employed teams
When a team member is off sick, on leave, or a vacancy is open, we provide experienced complex care support workers, matched to the package and briefed on the care plan before they start. Cover can be planned or arranged at short notice, and we provide familiar workers wherever possible so the person sees faces they know.
Prefer not to employ directly? Personal assistant and buddy support
Not everyone wants to become an employer. Many clients and families want a personal assistant (PA) or buddy to support independence, confidence and getting out into the community, but do not want the responsibility that comes with directly employing someone. People often tell us they would rather not take on:
- The legal responsibilities of being an employer, including contracts, payroll, tax, pensions and insurance
- The admin and HR burden of managing rotas, holiday, sickness and finding cover
- The discomfort of managing someone who supports them in their own home
- A long term employment commitment when their needs vary or change week to week
- The risk and liability that employing someone brings
Through Agency Support we provide the personal assistant or buddy and we remain the employer. We handle the vetting, training, compliance and cover, so you get consistent, well matched support and keep your independence, without becoming an employer yourself.
